Review ----12th course book and Activity sheet

Today I'm going to draft my view in my blog on the new course book and evaluation format

The first thing I would like to say that there is no ABCDsets now.The book is well designed by the designers. The book is well equipped with the 21st century skills to develop creativity,to enhance communication,to increase thinking ability and develop social skills.The book gives opportunity to make our class interactive.The prose section develops LSRW skills along with language skill.Chapter like Big Data gives a larger perspective of modern life to the students.

An interesting collection of poems introduce us a taste of different cultures, people and different philosophies.

Writing skill section gives really a novel and fantastic scope of learning something new and essential in day today life.

Last section of novel is somewhat difficult but interesting.Students can raise their interest in it so that they can increase their  passion for literature.7

Evaluation pattern for this book is also  changed.So for as my views are concerned I would like to mention---

1 It is nice blend of testing language skills, communication ability, to  express themselves ,logical tninking and so on

2 Published evaluation pattern does not give clear idea aboutQ no 4 ABCD.As --

* word limit for writing skill is not .given.

*Topics for SOP should  be given

* No place for note making inspite of given in section Three.

* E mail and Blog format should be given in activity sheet.

* In summary writing 1 mark should be reserved for title.

*For expansion of idea it should be clear whether it is to be written on either text based topic or a slogan or a proverb or a reflective thought.

* If it is from all then options should be given.

*For film review ,it should be clear on what topic they have to write either on film or documentary.or so on.

*  The length of compering should be given.

* Activities on novel section must be easy.Memory based questions are rather difficult for students especially from rural part and marathi medium.

* At least one extract should have been there so it is well and better for average students

*  In stead of reducing  two poems ,one part of novel could be reduced for this year.

Finally these are my personal views. What I think is regarding my students from backward region of state.So while framing activity sheet such students sbould put before because in many arts jr.colleges result of english is the result of Arts.
